How to select the right pump motor: Note the motor manufacturer, frame size, voltage rating, and rotation direction (CW or CCW when viewed from the shaft end) from the motor nameplate. Key specs include voltage (24V, 36V, 48V), kilowatt or horsepower rating, shaft diameter, and mounting bolt pattern. For DC motors, also note the brush type — some motors require periodic brush replacement as a maintenance item.
