How to select the right cylinder: Match by bore diameter, rod diameter, stroke length, and port thread size. These specs are typically listed in your OEM parts manual or can be measured from the existing cylinder. For rebuild kits, also note the seal material — Buna-N (nitrile) is standard for most hydraulic oil applications; Viton seals are required for synthetic or fire-resistant hydraulic fluids.
