Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between SU 2365-A and SU 2365?
A: SU 2365-A is a complete load wheel assembly that includes the polyurethane wheel and pre-installed hub and bearings. SU 2365 is the wheel only. SU 2365-A is ready to bolt onto your lift truck axle; SU 2365 requires removal of bearings from your existing hub. If you have bearing or hub damage, order SU 2365-A. If bearings are good, you can reuse them with SU 2365 and save cost.

Q: Are the wheel dimensions and material identical between SU 2365-A and SU 2365?
A: Yes. Both use the same 3.250 inch diameter, 4.500 inch width, 95A Cushothane XL polyurethane wheel. The only difference is that SU 2365-A includes the hub and bearing assembly pre-installed and tested. Dimensional specs: 1.938 inch inside diameter, 2.0467 inch bore outside diameter, 0.593 inch bore depth, 82.55mm x 114.30mm metric.

Q: Can I transfer the wheel from SU 2365-A to a different hub if my hub is damaged?
A: Technically yes, but it is not recommended. The wheel bore is sized for tight tolerance on the SU 2365-A hub. If you attempt to install it on a different hub, bore diameter mismatches can cause the wheel to slip or crack under load. If your hub is damaged, purchase a complete SU 2365-A assembly rather than reusing the wheel alone.

Q: Does SU 2365-A installation require bearing preload adjustment?
A: SU 2365-A comes pre-assembled with bearings already pressed and adjusted. You do not need to adjust preload. Simply bolt the assembly onto your lift truck axle using the correct fastener size and torque per your truck manual. After installation, spin the wheel by hand to verify it rotates freely without binding. If resistance is felt, verify the axle is clean and properly aligned.

Q: What is the lifespan of SU 2365-A and when should bearings be inspected?
A: SU 2365-A polyurethane tread lasts 12-24 months under normal use. Bearings typically last 24-36 months. Inspect bearings at 12-month intervals for noise, play, or heat. Listen for grinding or squealing during operation. If bearings show signs of wear or the wheel pulls to one side, replace the entire SU 2365-A assembly. Do not attempt to repack or adjust pre-installed bearings.
