How to select the right brush: Match by motor manufacturer, motor model number, and brush dimensions (length × width × height). Brush dimensions are typically stamped on the existing brush or listed in the motor service manual. Key specs also include brush grade (carbon content) — always replace with the OEM-specified grade to avoid accelerated commutator wear. Replace brushes in complete sets (all brushes in the motor at the same time) to ensure even wear.

Replacement interval: Inspect brushes every 500–1,000 operating hours. Replace when worn to 50% of original length or when the brush spring no longer maintains adequate contact pressure.
